How do I confirm my email address?
The confirmation link that you’ll use to confirm your email address is included in a “Validation” email that you’ll receive after signing up for your account. Confirming your email address is required to perform many actions on hondabattleofthebands.com, such as voting, commenting, and participating in the Band Buzz contest.
New members can follow the steps below to confirm their email:
Once you’ve registered for a new account, we’ll send a confirmation email to the email address that you entered. Click the Confirm Email page link within that email (you can also copy and paste the provided link into your browser, if you prefer). You’ve finished! You’ll be directed to a confirmation page and you can immediately begin exploring the site!
Why haven't I received an email with my confirmation link?
If you've registered and you didn't receive the validation email, the message was probably caught by a spam or bulk mail filter in your recovery email system. Try checking your Spam or Bulk Mail folders for a message from no-reply@hondabattleofthebands.com to see if the email ended up in there. Finally, be sure to check for any typographic errors in your email address, and try registering again. We suggest contacting your email provider for further troubleshooting information.
When does voting end?
Voting for the 2011 Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase ends October 29, 2010 at midnight (EST).
Why aren't all the schools from each conference listed int he section "The Bands"?
All HBCU marching bands are invited to participate in the 2010-2011 Honda Battle of the Bands program. The schools listed in each conference are the bands that have elected to participate this year.
How are the seating arrangements handled? Is it first-come, first-served or do tickets come with assigned seating? Also, what is the best section to sit in to view the competition?
Seats are reserved. Tickets are $10 for upper bowl seats and $12 for lower bowl seats. We choreograph the show so that everyone has a good view and we make sure that the music, excitement and exhilaration are there for all.

What is required in order for the bands to participate in the competition? Are bands required to perform certain musical pieces, routines, etc.? Is the performance scoring based on points per category?
HBOB is a showcase, not a competition, so there are no particular requirements. Creativity, character and showmanship are up to each individual band.
Is this Honda event going to be televised?
We won't be televising this event, but from September to November 2010, you can check out the website for clips of the bands performing in the 2010 Honda Battle of the Bands Celebration Tour presented by The Home Depot, along with the highlights from the Invitational Showcase.
